Another Qualification at Silverstone this weekend, and today we remember the 1952 edition. On July 19th, Alberto Ascari won the race with the legendary 500 F2. It was an easy win and one of the six Ferrari 1-2 of the seven races of the year. Alfa Romeo could not compete in 1952 due to the lack of engines to meet the new specification. Moreover, Fangio had an accident in a non-point race at Monza before the beginning of the season, he broke his back and could not race in 1952. Still the 500 F2 will still demonstrate it was a superior car in the more leveled championship of 1953 and Ascari was again World Champion.
