1958-07-19 Dino 246 F1 (2) Mike Hawthorn GBR - Silverstone 2
In the Silverstone weekend, we remember the 1958 edition. On July 19th, Mike Hawthorn finished 2nd (number 2) with the legendary 246 F1, behind teammate Peter Collins (number 1). This was the only time they used those numbers and suriously that was the only Ferrari 1-2 of the Season and in the right 1-2 order!. That was also a sign of a tight competition with the Vanwalls of Moss and Brooks. The championship was decided in the last GP of Morocco, Moss won and Hawthorn was second, good enough to become champion for only 1 point !!. The first time it happened in the early years of F1.
