On July 14th, 1973, Jacki Ickx finished 8th with this Ferrari 312 B3-73. This model was not very successful but evolved through 1973 and help in the more successful 312 B3-74.

Jacques Bernard "Jacky" Ickx was born 1 January 1945 in Belgium. He won the 24 Hours of Le Mans six times (second-highest of all time) and achieved eight wins and 25 podium finishes in Formula One. Ickx twice finished as championship runner-up in Formula One, in the consecutive years of 1969 and 1970. He won the majority of his races for Scuderia Ferrari, for which he was the team's leading driver for several seasons in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Racing for the Scuderia in 1968 and then between 1970-1973, he had one of the most epic battles with Jackie Stewart, particularly in Nurburgring. Between the two of them, they won all the 5 German GP in a row 1969-1973.

He also drove for Matra, Cooper, Brabham, Lotus, Ligier and Williams in F1.Still, it was in Sport cars racing where he built his legend and ended his career.
