Unique and exclusive models

The late 60’s and early 70’s were not good years for the Scuderia. That incentivized the team to build prototypes and modified models with mixed results. Most of those never raced officially. Mauro Forghieri was possibly the most daring designer and able of getting the support of Enzo. After the poor results of the ’72, he was briefly moved to another position. Ferrari later realized he was not the issue but the contrary, and he was brought back in 1973. This is on the version of the 312 B3 that Forghieri (in the photo with glasses) designed and tested. Though it was not raced, one can see that many of the concepts developed here, were later used in the very successful 312 T of 1975, when Lauda was World Champion and Ferrari won the Constructors Championship after 9 dry years (since 1964).

As there no videos of the test, in this occassion we leave a tribute to Clay
