On May 30th in 1976, Niki Lauda won the Monaco GP with this Ferrari 312 T2.. He led the race from starting grid until the checkered flag. The two 6-wheels Tyrrell P34 of Sheckter and Depallier were 2nd and 3rd.

He was leading the World Championship comfortably with 4 victories and 2 second positions in 6 races. Three races later, the at Nürburgring the terrible accident kept him way 2 races what gave James Hunt the chance to catch up. Miraculously Lauda came back at Monza with his burn still hurting and finished 4th…but that is story for another occasion….that you cab watch in the Movie “Rush”.
