The 2017 Australian Grand Prix (was a Formula One motor race that took place on 26 March 2017 in Melbourne. The race was contested over fifty-seven laps of the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit and was the first round of the 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship. The reigning World Champion Nico Rosberg was the winner of the 2016 race, but he did not defend his win as he retired from the sport after the 2016 season.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton started the race from pole, matching Ayrton Senna's record of six pole positions in Australia. It was a fierce battle between Vettel and Hamilton for the first place and Sebastian Vettel and Teammates Bottas and Raikkonen for the 3rd.Finally ,Bottas prevailed completing the podium in third on his début for Mercedes.Eighteen-year-old Williams debutant Lance Stroll and McLaren's Fernando Alonso impressed in the backgroundVettel was in awe of the work the Ferrari crew put in:It's a superb result for Ferrari who came into the opening race with great expectations after a solid showing in pre-season. Mercedes have dominated F1 for the last three years, and Hamilton's power issues are a major cause for concern after one race. Even at full tilt, the Silver Bullets weren't significantly faster than Ferrari.
